Spreading kindness and Christmas magic where it’s needed most


At McBeth Plumbing & Gas, we believe in the power of family, community, and celebrating together. Each Christmas, our Merry Mission aims to bring a little joy to families in our Lake Taupō community who are doing it tough.


This year, we’ll be supporting six families who may be facing financial hardship or other genuine challenges that make it difficult to afford the celebrations many of us take for granted.


If you know a family who could use some extra cheer this Christmas, we’d love for you to nominate them below. Please share a few details about their situation so we can thoughtfully tailor each gift and make their Christmas morning truly special.


Each chosen family will receive:


🎁 A Christmas gift for every family member (including parents or caregivers)
🍗 A festive food hamper to enjoy together on Christmas Day


We understand that nominations can be personal and sensitive. All information you provide will remain strictly confidential and only seen by our internal Merry Mission team.


Nomination Criteria


To help us ensure we’re reaching those most in need, please only nominate families who:

  • Are based in the Lake Taupō region
  • Are experiencing genuine financial or personal hardship
  • Would otherwise struggle to afford Christmas gifts or a meal
  • Have not previously received a McBeths Merry Mission package in the past 2 years


📅 Key Dates


  • Nominations close: Sunday 14 December 2025
  • Deliveries: Approx 22 December 2025 (we’ll coordinate directly with the nominator to ensure the surprise runs smoothly!)


⚖️ Terms & Conditions


  1. Nominations must be received by 11:59pm on 14 December 2025. Late entries cannot be considered.
  2. Nominees must reside within the Lake Taupō District.
  3. Families selected will be chosen at the discretion of McBeth Plumbing & Gas, based on the information provided and available resources.
  4. Due to privacy and sensitivity, we cannot publicly disclose recipient names or details.
  5. Gifts and hampers are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
  6. The decision of the McBeths Merry Mission team is final.
  7. By submitting a nomination, you confirm that you have the nominee’s consent to share their information.
