Team Alignment Day 2025

Seagulls perch on lamp posts and ground, waterfront park with trees, lake, and mountains. Bright blue sky with white clouds.

On 27 February 2025, the McBeth Plumbing & Gas team came together for our annual Team Alignment Day – a chance to step out of the day-to-day and focus on growth, connection, and the year ahead. Check out this view from Dixie Browns!

The day was centred around key themes that drive our business forward: service excellence, an ownership mindset, trust and teamwork, a strong feedback culture, and building the right mindset for success. Through open discussions, activities, and shared learning, our team strengthened not only individual skills but also our collective approach to working together.

Events like this are an important part of our culture. They give us the space to align on goals, sharpen our focus, and ensure we’re all working towards the same vision. Most importantly, they remind us that success comes from trust, collaboration, and the willingness to grow together.

We left the day feeling energised and ready to tackle 2025 with passion and a united purpose – continuing to go above and beyond every time for our customers and our community.

The award was presented at the Volcanic Plateau Master Plumbers Awards held at Rydges Rotorua on 10 October, an evening celebrating excellence, professionalism, and community spirit across the plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying industry. Winning this title again reflects our long-standing commitment to technical excellence, people-first leadership, and strong community values. For over 40 years, McBeth Plumbing & Gas has proudly served the Taupō region — and today, we continue to focus on innovation, staff wellbeing, and delivering high-quality service our customers can rely on. Alongside our company award, we were thrilled to see several of our team members recognised for their individual achievements: Theo Petrides – Most Outstanding Tradesperson (Non-Certifying) Recognised for his exceptional workmanship, problem-solving skills, and commitment to growth through his adult plumbing apprenticeship. Theo’s calm, professional approach and mentorship of apprentices make him an invaluable part of our team. Kevin Pitt – Contribution to the Industry A driving force behind quality and compliance, Kevin’s background in building and quantity surveying has strengthened systems across our business. His knowledge, high standards, and willingness to support others continue to raise the bar across our trade. Nina Andrews – Woman in Plumbing Honoured for her leadership and innovation, Nina has been instrumental in shaping the future of McBeth Plumbing & Gas. From HR and financial forecasting to people development and culture, her passion for building a supportive, high-performing team has helped define who we are today. We’re incredibly proud of what our team has achieved and thankful to our customers, suppliers, and community who continue to support us.
